For over 35 years, CurtainsCurtainsCurtains’ resident experts have been handcrafting roman blinds with a high-quality finish. Our professional seamstresses take great pride in their work, which shows in the results; a neat and clean, roman blind, which is functional, beautiful and constructed with great care. Hand-stitched sides and hems result in strong seams, which are more durable and maintain a degree of elasticity, which is often lost through machine stitching.

Quality is Everything

The quality of our roman blinds is second-to-none. Every detail is carefully handcrafted and double-checked to ensure the highest quality is achieved and delivered, even down to the smallest detail. Our roman blinds are not constructed with the usual tape pockets for rods; we create hand-stitched channels within the lining. Rings and channels for roman blind rods are also stitched by hand to ensure they are as discreet as possible.

Measuring for Roman Blinds

Roman blinds may be fitted either inside or outside the window recess. It is important to remember this when measuring and placing your order, so that we can make the necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for your blinds.

When deciding whether to fit the blind inside or outside the recess, consider the following points:

It will be necessary to fit the blind outside the recess if -

  • The recess is less than 7.5cm (3") deep.
  • The window opens inwards.
  • The window is not straight (width or height varies by more than 2cm (3/4").

If a blind is being fitted outside a recess, please quote 'blind size' on the order form and the blind will then be manufactured to the size quoted.

If more than one blind is being fitted on the window please quote the size of each individual blind rather than the overall recess size and choose ‘blind size’ from the options.
