Ready-Made Curtains
How To Order
We take you step by step through the order process
Armed with your measurements, you are now ready to order your curtains... but what size should you buy?
Width:
When we list or write curtain measurements, the width always comes before the drop.
Ready-made curtains are available in three standard widths: 112 cm (44 inches), 167 cm (66 inches) or 228 cm (90 inches).
You should choose the width that most closely matches the size of your track or pole.
The width measurement actually refers to the width of each curtain in the pair, as you need double the width of your track or pole in curtaining for the gathered effect. See this article for an explanation of what gather is: What is Gather?
Drop:
Ready-made curtains are available in three different drops: 137 cm (54 inches), 183 cm (72 inches) or 228 cm (90 inches). Some manufacturers also offer a 274 cm (108 inch) drop; click on this link to view the available designs: Larger Sizes. This is from the top of the curtain to the bottom. With eyelets it's normally around 3 cm above the pole
If you would like a drop that falls between two sizes then why not take advantage of our speedy alteration service and have the curtains shortened to fit perfectly? For pencil pleat measure from the top to the bottom of the curtain. For eyelets measure from the top of the pole to where you want them to finish then add 3 cm.
Simply tick the 'shorten my curtains' tick alongside the next longest drop. A box will pop up for you to enter drop you would like the curtains to be shortened to.
