How to Order Ready-Made Curtains

Welcome to our guide to ordering ready-made curtains. Let us take you step by step through the ordering process.

Step 1: There are several ways to reach the range, as shown in the image below.

Step 2: With over 200 ready-made curtain designs to choose from, you may want to narrow the results down, by using the filters on the left hand side.

I have filtered my results down using the 'heading type' (1) and 'colour' (2). As you can see, I have ticked the 'pencil pleat' and 'pink and red' boxes. 

Now I am being shown 36 designs, which is easier to look through than 249! 

Step 3: Once you have found a design you like, you simply click on the photograph and you will be taken to the product page for that design. Here you can see more information and get detailed pricing information.

Step 4: Here is the product page.

You can see a larger photo and on the right hand side there's a price list showing every size available.

2. You can see that the ready-made curtains are priced and sold as pairs, not single curtains. So if you order 1 pair you will receive 2 curtains.

3. We can shorten your curtains for you, the price ranges from £15 to £25 depending on the size of the curtains.

4. We have a handy gather calculator to help you to work out what width to buy...

Step 5: To use the calculator enter your track or pole width and click on the 'calculate' button. The size we recommend is highlighted in the grid below.

The grid also shows how much gather the curtains will give you. The ideal amount of gather is 'two times' fullness, but occasionally you may have to have a little under or over dependant upon the sizes available.

Please note that the curtain widths listed are the width of each curtain in the pair. So if you choose 163 cm wide curtains, you will receive two curtains, each measuring 163 cm. 

You should choose the curtain width which corresponds most closely to your track or pole, as we are aiming for two times the width of your pole in curtaining, for the gather.

Step 6: Once you know what size you would like to order; find the size you would like from the list, enter the number of pairs into the box and click on the 'add to basket' button.

If you would like your curtains to be shortened, click the 'shorten my curtains' button, before you add them to the basket. A new box will pop up (see below), for you to enter the size you would like the curtains to be. This measurement has to be in centimetres, not inches (or millimetres or metres!). 

Please note this needs to be the new drop of the curtains, not how much you would like them to be shortened by!

Also, we cannot make the curtains longer than they are, as the hems on ready-made curtains are generally speaking quite small. You will need to click on the next largest drop and we will shorten them to the correct length.

Step 7: Once you've clicked on the 'add to basket' button, you will see the curtains in basket at the top of the page. 

Step 8: Some designs have matching tiebacks, cushion covers or even bedding available. If this is the case, you can find the accessories at the bottom of the curtains list, as in the image below.

Step 9: You can order accessories in the same way that you ordered the curtains: Simply enter how many you would like into the quantity box and then click the 'add to basket' button. 

Please note that tiebacks are sold in pairs, so if you order 1 pair you will receive 2 tiebacks.

Step 10: You can see that the tiebacks I've ordered have been added to the basket.  

Step 11: When you are ready to complete your order, click on the 'checkout' button in the top right hand side of the screen.
